Project Background
ITSB manages software assets for approximately 15,000 employees located across Canada.
The SAM team is the first point of contact for user requiring COTS software license purchases or software maintenance and support services.
DUTIES
· Resource will use Service Desk Plus (SDP) to scan PC, assign license, modify/close PO, check software compliance and generate reports.
· Client requesting new software need to be assessed following SAM policies before sending the request to IT IS Acquisition
· Software renewal needs to be assessed by SAM in order to confirm established standards are met before sending the request to IT IS Acquisition
· Once the contract is awarded, SAM must validate received software received against Purchase Order (PO), close the PO and assign license or maintenance to client
· Analyse client requests for software and provide guidance as needed.
· Propose software solutions to client that meet established standards.
· Communicate by email, phone or in person with clients or vendors.
· Gathering of information
· Inform client about End User License Agreement (EULA) related to their software
· Create Purchase Orders
· Close Purchase Order (reception of the license)
· Coordinate installation of software on client PC
· Update the Definitive Software library (DSL)
· Manage (Add, modify and delete) license in SDP
· Associate license to client in SDP
· Create License Agreement in SDP
Generate reports
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
The resource may be called to participate in meetings with the team leader. Other meeting will be held as required with clients, management
MANDATORY CRITERIA (resource must have the following)
M1
Education:
Secondary school diploma is required
Certificate, diploma, or degree in computer science or other relevant field from a recognized post secondary institution is required
Experience:
Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience is required
In addition to the minimum qualifications required by the classification (education and experience), the potential candidates must also demonstrate the following mandatory requirements
Recent and significant equals to 3 years of experience in the last 5 years.

Recent and significant experience in Software Asset Management
M3
Recent and significant experience in using Microsoft Office 2007
M4
Recent and significant experience in using an ITIL Software Asset Management system such as Remedy, HP Service Management, Info Man and Manage Engine - Service Desk Plus

2 years experience on documentation of technical solutions (workflow, guides or other technical documents)
